Fair play, and keeping your account safe
Taskerise works because the work is real. Advertisers pay for genuine attention from real people, and taskers are paid for giving it. Every rule protects that.
Not allowed
- Fake proof: edited screenshots, someone else's screenshot, or one from a different account.
- Undoing work: following, joining or liking, then reversing it.
- More than one account: one person, one account. If we find one person running several accounts, we suspend them.
- Bots and scripts: every task is taken and sent by you.
- Contact details in tasks or messages: emails and phone numbers are refused in task text, rejection reasons and dispute messages, because everything about the work happens on Taskerise.
- Campaigns that break the law or a network's own rules, including anything asking for fake identities or misleading reviews. Custom tasks are checked by an administrator before they go live.
How suspensions happen
An administrator can suspend an account, and you are told why. It also happens automatically when an account collects too many negative votes, currently 10 (see your level and rating).
While suspended you can still sign in, read your notifications and open a ticket to ask for a second look, but you cannot take tasks, run campaigns, add funds or withdraw.
Keep your account safe
Your account holds money, so turn on two-factor authentication under Account → Security: then nobody can withdraw with your password alone. Any authenticator app works; two free ones are Google Authenticator (iPhone, Android) and Microsoft Authenticator (iPhone, Android). Install one, press Set up under Account → Security, scan the QR code with the app and type the 6-digit code it shows. Keep your recovery codes somewhere other than your phone. Account → Sessions shows every device signed in; if you see one you do not recognise, change your password, then sign it out. When someone signs in from a browser your account has not used before, we tell you straight away, in the app, by email and in Telegram if it is connected, whatever your notification settings.
Spotting a scam
Almost every scam asks you to take the work, the money or the conversation off Taskerise.
- Nobody from Taskerise will ever ask for your password or a two-factor code.
- An advertiser who offers to pay you "directly" is removing the very thing that makes sure you get paid, and we cannot help with money that never went through Taskerise.
- There is no "verification fee" before a withdrawal, ever.
If you come across any of this, do not argue. Report the campaign and open a ticket.
If you are locked out
Reset your password from the sign-in page. Two-factor codes are asked for when you withdraw, not when you sign in, so losing your authenticator and your recovery codes does not lock you out, but it does stop you withdrawing or turning two-factor off. If that happens, open a ticket and explain what happened.
